Let me know. We can talk trail! (10,000 miler here.....AT x2, PCT, etc.) Look forward to meeting you!

As luck would have it, I'm writing a piece on the trail network in Dayton, Ohio (NCT/BT/bikeways) that will run right about the time I believe you are slated to pass through here. If you need trail goodies near Dayton, just say the word. Save travels!

Luke/Strider, We've been following your travels and enjoying reading your journal. You'll be walking by our house soon. We are on the NCT route, just a few miles past the North Central Michigan College in Petoskey, MI. Be on the look out for some trail goodies and stop by if there's anything you need! Safe travels to you, we wish you all the best!

I just saw your story as part of a feature on the North Country Trail and some of its volunteers on Northland Adventures! I just want to say good luck to you and I hope you make it all the way!

Luke, I met you on the shores of Lake Superior between Munising and Grand Marais on Monday June 24. You told me all about when you had left North Dakota on March 27 and that you plan to arrive in Vermont in approximately 3 months. You were kind of in a hurry as you wanted to get to Grand Marais by nightfall. Good luck on your journey and enjoy our beautiful state.

Hi Strider! I have been following your travels since you began your hike and admire you more and more with each struggle you overcome. My brother and I were in Pictured Rocks on the NCT at the same time you went through and were keepibg an eye out for you to pass us but you must have passed us while we were sleeping or off the trail exploring. I was thinking of you for an inspiration as we just barely made it out before dark on our final 19 mile day... nothing compared to the mileage you accomplish every day. I hope you enjoyed Pictured Rocks as much as we did. Good luck on the rest of your hike! Your perseverance in this huge endeavor amazes and inspires me and I am sure all of the other hikers and backpackers who hear of you feel the same way. Enjoy Manistee when you get there! We loved it! Can't wait to follow your adventure all the way to your last step at the end of the trail.

Luke We met in the shelter on the bay in Grand Marais on June 25th. It was a pleasure talking with you and I want you to know how much I admire you for what you are doing. This is a great undertaking and the hiker in me will be rooting for you all the way.

I enjoy reading your journal. I have been day hiking the Finger Lakes Trail since 2009 and plan to finish next year. I maintain some trail that you will cross in Sugar Hill SF. Hopefully we will be able to close a gap in the trail due to landowner withdrawing permission. This has caused a short road walk and a short steep horse trail before returning to the NCT/FLT. Enjoy the Finger Lakes Region and the many vistas. If I can be of any assistance between Bully Hill SF (Almond, NY) and the Dunham Lean-to (Hector, NY) feel free to contact me. I work 10 hour days Mon - Thur. Enjoy the trail. Paul
