Luke, wow, I am so proud of you. When you were here in Marquette way back in June I was sure you would make it even though I thought maybe you had a couple of doubts. Love to see that smile and am looking forward to your book (the rest of your journal that never got up on the web). Glad to hear that Andrew Skurka and MJ Eberhard kept your spirits up - both super inspirations. And, now you are an inspiration to another whole group of young people who will follow in your footsteps. I am calling you our NCT Ambassador. Love from your "other" mother Lorana

Congratulations on making it through Luke! What an amazing accomplishment. Hope you found my home state of NY, and favorite place on earth, The Adirondacks, to be the "best for last"! Relax and take your time acclimating back into the "real world"!

Hi Luke! Sitting on the swing on this nice fall evening thinking about you! I just started a book called the North Country Cache by Joan Young. The only woman to walk the whole length. I cant wait until your book comes out! You ought to be just about done. Patiently waiting for the next update on you. So proud of you! In my thoughts & prayers! Sher

Strider: I'm so pleased that you've almost reached the end of the NCT! I'm the newspaper reporter in Walker, Minn., who took your photo snowshoeing up the trail. I'm also the person who, the next day (April 28, I think), left your first trail magic - bottles of water and 2 candy bars, and a note to leave trash and I'd be back to pick it up. It sounds like you've had lots more trail magic and trail angels — and really needed it all. Best of luck and congratulations, in advance! Gail DeBoer Pilot-Independent Newspaper Walker, MN

Just sending some more words of encouragement man. Been following you're journal since you started, hopefully the last couple months of silences means everything is moving along smoothly.

Welcome to New York, Luke. Is there a detailed map of NY State NCT section? Love to follow you as you traverse my home state. Much love, admiration, and support. Sharon
