Our paths crossed at a park/trail shelter in New Breman, OH during my walk across America. I over-nighted there, but with a few remaining hours of daylight left you pushed on. What a great accomplishment. Something you'll never forget. A rare experience that only you can carry through the great walk-of-life. Congrats my kindred spirit friend.

Luke, I was so glad to meet you at the Midwest Mountaineering Winter Expo dinner on Saturday night. Thank you for having the blog and I really look forward to reading even more details of your adventure when I get to buy your book next year. I always tell people our lives are only as interesting as the stories we have to tell. I must say you have quite the story to tell. Congrats on completing such an aggressive endeavor! Brent Beal

Luke We met in Grand Marais and I was impressed with your challenge. I just want to congratulate you on completing such an incredible walk. I think it is remarkable how people along the way helped and encouraged you. Good work man. Pleasure to meet you.

Reading your entries for the section thru New York, I was happy and proud that your trek through the Adirondack High Peaks was the highlight of your 4000 plus mile trip. I am on my way to becoming a 46er with 12 peaks left and have always said that the ADK's have some of the toughest trails in America even if the summit elevations don't sound all that impressive. I hope the NCT is aloud to go thru the High Peaks area. Congrats and Thank you for posting

Strider: I just discovered your NCT journal while trying to ascertain the Kekekabic Trail (BWCA) status. Your narrative is well written, extremely informative and pretty darned inspiring. On behalf of all us NCT thru-hiker wannabees, thanks for taking the time to document your exploits.
